Heung-a Shipping orders 4 chemical tankers

Heung-a shipping announced that it has placed new order of special vessels to build 4 units of the latest eco-friendly fuel efficient 12,000 DWT (duplex) and 3,500 DWT (solid stainless steel) chemical tankers.
Dae Sun Shipbuilding & Engineering Co., Ltd. (Dae Sun), located in Busan, Korea, announced that it has successfully received a new order for the special vessels.

Heung-A Shipping, a leading chemical tanker operator, currently runs more than 50 chartered and owned ships worldwide.

The newly ordered 4 units of eco-friendly vessels are scheduled for delivery within the 1st half of 2016.

The newly-developed solid stainless steel and duplex chemical tankers have enhanced fuel efficiency, equipped with fully automatic cargo pump and cargo handling systems.

In view of these 4 contracts standing in succession to 51,200 DWT MR class chemical tankers, 1,000 TEU container ships, and navy strategic sealift vessel contracts in 2013, Dae Sun has been winning continuous new contracts for special vessels proving to be one of the most assured shipyards toward customers's satisfaction even in this depressed newbuilding market of small and medium sized vessels. < Korea Shipping Gazette >
