Pursuant to the agreement signed last February and having obtained the relevant competition authorities approvals, CMA CGM announced the closing of the $150m investment by FSI through mandatory convertible bonds.
Going forward, FSI will be represented on the CMA CGM board of directors by Denis Ranque, currently Chairman of the EADS board of directors.
Thomas Devedjian, Director and member of the FSI executive committee, will join the CMA CGM board of directors as an observer.
The investment illustrates the bpifrance strategy to support leading corporates and reflects the CMA CGM strategic position for the French economy as well as its development potential. Rodolphe Saad`s Executive Officer of CMA CGM said, "We are very pleased to welcome the FSI as a shareholder and partner in the continued development of our group."
