Hanjin Shipping Gyeong-In Terminal |
Hanjin Shipping announced the consign management company for the company's the Gyeong-In (Seoul-Incheon) terminal.
Until last year, Hanjin Shipping continued its contractual relationship with Hanjin, but the one-year contract expired. Hanjin Shipping has now found a new consign management company, Union Transport Co., Ltd., and contracted with them.
A harbor business insider said, "Hanjin, the existing consigned company, and Hanjin Shipping have not been on 'not good' terms owing to the breaking up of the subsidiary company, but that relationship didn't affect the pullout. They just judged that profitability had been going poorly."
Meanwhile, Hanjin Shipping Gyeong-In Terminal was financed through recapitalization on Dec. 27th, 2012 due to stringency of capital. The scale of the recapitalization was KRW 1.5 billion with the company acquiring 300,000 stocks. < 김보람 기자 brkim@ksg.co.kr >
