BPA, holding IR in Singapore
Busan Port Authority (BPA) is embarking for Busan Port sales in Singapore where various international logistics companies are competing. BPA announced on March 5, that from March 7 to 19, it would hold a briefing session aimed at logistics companies there and visit shipping companies including APL headquarters to garner their business for Busan Port.
Especially, this event is the first one that a Korean company has co-hosted with IE Singapore. IE Singapore lent BPA conference rooms for free and rolled up its sleeves to invite promising logistics companies for BPA. IE Singapore is a Ministry of Trade and Industry-affiliated organization responsible for helping Singaporean businesses advance into foreign markets.
The briefing is expected to attract about 60 representatives from 30 companies including Maple Tree, a huge real estate and investment trust company featuring a logistics yard. BPA present an outline about Busan Port current status, hinterland logistics complex and future development plans and provide C. Steinweg as a successful business model along with a Q&A session.
Ahead of the event, on March 7 and 8, Roh Ki-tae, BPA president, will visit APL headquarters, which handled the most trade volumes at Busan Port last year among foreign shipping companies, as well as MSC, NYK, K-Line and Asia-Pacific headquarters of other major shipping companies. <Korea Shipping Gazette>
