The donation is part of MSC USA's ongoing support for the global medical charity that provides free surgery to children with facial deformities.
On August 2nd, the MSC New York office held its 7th annual charity golf tournament, raising over $200,000 in donations from customers and business partners to support Operation Smile. The event was attended by over 100 golfers representing 30 companies from all over the country. The tournament took place at the Galloping Hill Golf Course in New Jersey.
The funds raised will help Operation Smile continue its mission to provide life-changing surgery to children with cleft lips, cleft palates, or other facial deformities. The organization also works to educate and advocate for safe surgical care for children around the world, with the belief that every child deserves exceptional surgical care. Thanks to the efforts of MSC New York and all the participants and employees who made this charity event possible, more than 427 children will have a bright, new smile and an even brighter future.
MSC and Operation Smile have a long-standing partnership to bring smiles to children around the world. MSC USA has been supporting the organization since 2011, raising funds through various charity events such as golf tournaments organized by individual MSC branch offices, as well as many other local charity initiatives.
In addition to its fundraising efforts, MSC USA also has a strong commitment to social responsibility, with employees volunteering for Operation Smile missions in countries such as Guatemala, Mexico, and Nicaragua, and the company transporting essential medical supplies and equipment to countries in Africa such as Madagascar. Over the past few years, MSC USA has contributed over $1.25 million in donations and volunteer services, and looks forward to continuing to have a positive impact on communities worldwide.
