Speaker of Croatian Parliament visits COSCO headquarters

On the morning of November 26, 2015, Mr. Josip Leko, Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, paid a visit to COSCO headquarters, and met with President Li Yunpeng of COSCO Group. Mr. Leko attended the Fourth Leaders's Meeting of China and Central and Eastern European Countries in Suzhou on November 24 to 25 at the invitation of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.

In the meeting, Mr. Leko said that the traditional friendship and mutual trust between Croatia and China will lay a solid foundation for the economic and trade ties between the two countries. Croatia hopes to cooperate with COSCO in ocean shipping and logistics under the ?6+1?cooperation framework.

President Li said that this year marks the tenth anniversary since the two countries established the Partnership for Comprehensive Cooperation. Mr. Leko's visit to China at this point in time will add a strong impetus to the economic and trade cooperation between the two countries.

COSCO Group is willing to work together with Croatian partners in a practical manner in ocean shipping, logistics and terminal operation among other areas. COSCO is ready to make more contribution to the economic and trade ties, connectivity and cooperation on production capacity between the two countries.

The meeting was also attended by Mr. Nebojsa Koharovic, Croatian Ambassador to China, Mr. Ye Weilong, E.V.P of COSCO Group, officials from the Croatian Government and Parliament, as well as executive managers from the Executive Division, Operation Management Division and Strategic Development Division of COSCO Group.
