Sinokor has deployed a larger containership for its Japanese western coast routing 'NKJ service' from mid-July.
The new 698TEU vessel in the route, < HAKATA VOYAGER >, called at its first port for the NKJ route on July, 14th. The ship was built in July, 2005 at the Fujian Mawei Shipyard in China, and used to sail between Busan, Korea and Vladivostok, Russia.
The former containership, < PU HAI XIANG DA >, finished its last voyage, calling Busan on July, 7th. The old vessel is slated to be redelivered to its Chinese shipowner, Puhai Shipping.
The NKJ route is as follows: Busan (Tuesdays) - Sakaiminato (Wednesdays) - Maizuru (Thursdays) - Tsuruga (Thursdays) - Kanazawa (Fridays) - Tsuruga (Saturdays) - Busan (Sundays).
Sinokor calls in Busan at both Pusan North Port (Intergis 7th Pier) and Pusan New Port (Pusan Newport International Terminal) for NKJ services.
A Sinokor spokesperson said, "As the chartering period terminated, we returned the < PU HAI XIAN > to its shipowner and substituted it with a bigger containership. With the larger vessel, we expect that the transshipments into the deep-sea voyage for the feeder cargo will work smoother and the import process for paper products from Japan will become more comfortable."
