Hapag-Lloyd is launching its new Turkey Israel Express Service (TIX) to further enhance Hapag-Lloyd's port coverage in the eastern Mediterranean Sea.
The TIX initially links five ports in Egypt, Israel and Turkey, including the hub ports of Damietta, Port Said, Mersin, and Haifa for connectivity to Hapag-Lloyd's global service network. From the end of June Iskenderun will be additionally included into the service. The weekly service will be operated with one vessel with an operational capacity of 810 TEU, including 150 reefer plugs. The port rotation will be Damietta - Port Said (East) - Mersin - Iskenderun (from the end of June) - Haifa - Damietta.
With the launch of TIX, the port rotation of two existing services in the Mediterranean will change as follows:
New port rotation of the Levante Express Service (LEX): Cagliari - Genoa - Leghorn - Naples - Salerno - Cagliari - Alexandria - Damietta - Mersin - Izmir - Cagliari.
New port rotation of the Adriatic Express Service (ADX): Damietta - Rijeka - Koper - Venice - Ancona - Bari (from June) - Port Said (East) - Damietta.
