On April 12th MSC was presented with Panama Excellence Award during the opening ceremony of the three-day Panama Maritime Conference event in Panama City. This year's theme was 'Panama : Changing Global Trade Dynamics - Leading Supply Chain Logistics in the region
The prestigious Maritime Excellence Award is the highest endorsement given to companies that have made a positive impact on the local and international maritime industry in recent years. After 35 years of collaboration with the Panama Registry, MSC was chosen because it stands for innovation and operational quality, safety and security as well as for its contribution to the development of seafarers and the maritime sector overall. MSC is currently operating around 52 vessels under the Panama flag, the latest being the world's largest capacity container ship, MSC Oscar.
"Thanks to the hard work of everyone at MSC Panama we have been recognized by the industry for the positive difference we are making to the logistics industry in our region," said Peter Blohm, MD of MSC Panama, "MSC's focus on crew professional development combined with our high operational standards really set MSC apart from the competition."
