Ulsan Port sets goal to handle 200 million t in 2015

UPA set its annual handling goal as 200 million t for 2015.

In 2015, UPA determined its trade volume target for this year to be 200 million t.

Ulsan Port handled 17,130,000 t in January, increasing 6.7% year on year. Import cargoes increased 2.2% while export cargo increased 7.4%.
Liquid cargoes were 13,910,000 t, increasing 1.5% year on year. Container cargoes were down 4.7% year on year.

In January, 1,053 overseas vessels docked at Ulsan Port, far above the 20 recorded last year.

UPA said, "Last year was bad news with the global economic slowdown overlapping with the drop in oil prices. Liquid cargo performance was sluggish at the beginning of the year, but volumes have started to rise, which is a good sign"
