Namsung Shipping will call at the port of Kitakyushu.
Beginning in March, Namsung Shipping will adjust its Busan·West Japan (BW1) service to add Kitakyushu Port.
The new rotation is as follows:
Busan (Wednesday) - Hakita (Thursday) - Shibushi (Friday) - Aburath (Saturday) - Hososhima (Saturday) - Oita (Sunday) - Hibiki (Sunday) - Busan (Sunday).
Namsung Shipping is deploying the 706-TEU <Liberty Star > in the route. The first ship is expected to be sail March 1 from Kitakyushu Port. This is the first time for Namsung Shipping to sail a self-owned ship to Kitakyushu Port.
A spokesperson for Namsung Shipping said, "kitakyushu is one of Japan's closest ports to Busan,'"and, "Attracting feeder cargo was an important part in this decision."
