Korea and Norway strengthen maritime cooperation

Delegates from Korea and Norway recently attended the 'Korea-Norway Maritime Cooperation Council and Policy Seminar'

Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries Director Jeon Gi-jung and Norwegian Ministry of Industry and Fisheries Director Ida Skard attended the event.
Representatives from the two countries have been holding regular partnership meeting and seminars since signing an MOU in 2012.

At the seminar, the two countries shared information about coastal ferry operation, safety management, and crew welfare. Cruise industry growth was also a topic of discussion, as was improvements to northern sea routes.

Mr. Jeon said, "Norway is a leader in eco-shipping, and cooperation between our two countries will be further strengthened through this seminar."
