BPA won the grand prize in 'Korea's Admired Company' of Korea Management Awards following its 2013 top prize.
Busan Port Authority (BPA, President Lim Ki-tack) was awarded the grand prize in ?014 Management Grand Awards?under the category of Korea's Admired Company, hosted by the Korea Management Association Consulting (KMAC) at the Grand Hilton Hotel in Hongeun-dong Seoul on the 28th.
'2014 Management Grand Awards?is a prestigious award given to corporations that have achieved excellent management performances and have led continuous and comprehensive management corporate activities based on innovative capabilities corresponding to the changing management environment.
BPA processed its highest cargo volume, 17.68 million TEU, last year thanks to active overseas marketing and strategic risk management despite the global economic recession and fierce competition with global ports.
In particular, being the first public corporation to resolve reckless management through the CEO's firm leadership, establishing mutual development strategy through creating jobs, and building a fair society and accompanied growth were highly evaluated.
BPA President Lim Ki-tack said, "It is a great pleasure that we received 'The Management Grand Award'again followed by last year's top prize. At this point, when the corporation's social responsibility is considered highly, 'respect' is a core value that leads the growth of a corporation. In this regard, all employees and executives of BPA will put a concerted effort in strengthening social responsibilities as a public company to become a respectable corporation."
