Busan Port Authority participated in the World Conference for Public Administration (WCPA) between June 25~27 at the Daegu EXCO organized by the Korean Association for Public Administration (KAPA) and gave presentations on ‛Port Policy and Global Strategy’ on the 26th.
The association chose port related topics for the first time this year. BPA gave presentations on “the Port Authority’s impacts on the national economy” and “Busan Port’s Development Strategy as a Global Port.” They exchanged various opinions and carried out active discussions with foreign experts from Germany and China.
BPA has shown exemplary performances as a major port authority through co-existence management with the port transportation trade union and surplus management for the past decade, and has maintained its status as the world's 5th largest container port through active marketing activities and increasing container cargo volume since it was established in 2004 as the nation's first port authority.
BPA plans to make Busan Port a ‘global hub port’ by strengthening its global strategies to respond actively to the global shipping and port environment, and by enhancing specialties and efficiency.
