It began with Daily Maersk, now the promise of absolute reliability is going just that little bit further.
From November 21st, 2012, Maersk Line is extending its total transportation time promise to six more routes: from Jakarta or Laem Chabang to Bremerhaven, Rotterdam or Felixstowe. Bookings for this service will commence October 8th, 2012.
With gate-in any day of the week and two weekly cut-offs, Maersk Line is promising to transport goods on these routes in 31 days. The clock starts at cut-off and stops when goods are available at the final container yard.
The promise is absolute, backed with the same monetary guarantees offered on Daily Maersk. Maersk Line will start taking bookings from October 8th, 2012.
It has been a year since Maersk Line introduced Daily Maersk. Vincent Clerc, Maersk Line’s Chief Trade and Marketing Officer, tells us: “When we launched Daily Maersk, we were trying to implement a new service standard that our customers could expect to get from us. We wondered at times during the development if we’d bitten off more than we could chew.
Fortunately our hard work seems to have paid off, a year on we are achieving 98% reliability and feedback from customers is positive. So, we’ve taken everything we’ve learnt from Daily Maersk and we’ve decided to extend the Daily Maersk promise to our customers on these additional routes.” < Korea Shipping Gazette >
