Evergreen to cover Japan-North Europe trade over Kaohsiung transhipment
Evergreen is to serve the Japan-North Europe trade over transhipment in Kaohsiung following the ending of its US West coast-Asia-North Europe (WAE) pendulum service in June
As first revealed by PR News Service Copy 4997 May 1st, Evergreen is ending its WAE pendulum service and replacing it with another pendulum service that covers the US West coast-Far East-Mediterranean trade, known as the UAM pendulum service
That effectively mens the ending of a direct service between Japan and North Europe, but Evergreen will continue to cover the trade via transhipment at the hub port of Kaohsiung which is already connected with Japan via various intra-Asia services
Evergreen? Japan-Taiwan connections include its own Japan-Hong Kong-Taiwan Express (JTX), and slots on Yangming?, Taiwan-Japan service known as the JTC
The new UAM will offer direct calls at : Tacoma, Vancouver, Tokyo, Osaka, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Tanjung Pelepas, Colombo, Taranto, Genoa, Barcelona, Valencia, Taranto, Port Said, Jeddah, Colombo, Tanjung Pelepas, Kaohsiung, Yantian, Hong Kong, Osaka, Tokyo, Tacoma
