Asian shipowners to gather in Busan
Key representatives from Asia? shipping industry will gather in the southern port city of Busan for the annual Asian Shipowners?Forum, to be held from May 28-30.
Chief executives of shipping lines from 12 Asian countries will discuss international issues that affect their shipping business operations.
Top echelons of Korean shipping lines will also attend, including Hanjin Shipping Inc., Hyundai Merchant Marine Co., and STX Pan Ocean Co., according to the Korea Shipowners?Association.
Asian shipowners and ship managers control and operate more than 40 percent of the world's cargo carrying fleet.
