Hoegh Autoliners (Korea) Ltd establishes to support growth
To further enhance the service level in the growing Korean market for export and import of cars, Hoegh Autoliners established a Korean subsidiary effective from 1 April 2007. Hoegh Autoliners (Korea) Ltd is established based on the staff and business acquired from Auto Shipping Ltd who has represented the company in Korea as agent for the last 17 years.
Hoegh Autoliners has up to now been represented by Auto Shipping Ltd as agent in the Korean market, and all staff will join Hoegh Autoliners (Korea) Ltd. from Auto Shipping. Mr.C.Y. Chang, the former owner of Auto Shipping, will become the first President of Hoegh Autoliners (Korea) Ltd, a recognition of the strong performance from owners and management of Auto Shipping over the years.
Hoegh Autoliners moved 295,000 car equivalent units (CEU) ex Korea in 2006 and projections shows that this number is growing. Vehicle manufacturers served by the company in Korea include GM DAT, Renault Samsung Motors, Nissan Motor, Ssangyong Motors, Hyundai Motor, Kia Motors, Doosan Infracore to name the largest clients.
