New cargo procedures for Republic of Cameroon

According to the provisions of the ministerial order no. 00557/MINT of July 11, 2006 of the Republic of Cameroon, all cargo destined for Cameroon must be covered by a validated ECTN (Electronic Cargo Tracking Note). All parties can obtain information regarding the ECTN from the authorized agent of the Cameroon National Shippers Council (C.N.C.C.).

The loading of any cargo by sea without the ECTN shall result in the establishment of a regularization ECTN in Douala Port, in accordance with the provisions of article 12 of order no. 0057/MINT of 11th July 2006 with an added penalty.

This procedure came into effect as of Feb 1, 2007.
