Hanjin sets out plan to bounce back
Hanjin Shipping has revealed its 2006 sales performance and a brighter looking 2007 business plan,.
Net profit, from 6.35 billion dollars in revenue, was down 4.6 percent at 486 million dollars..
Operating profit fell a massive 74 percent due to higher fuel costs, lower freight rates and the weak US dollar.
The fall came about despite an increase of 14.8% in the number of containers handled, 3.3 million TEU compared with 2.86 million TEU in 2005.
This year Hanjin? business plan is targeting revenue of 6.95 billion dollars and operating income of 268 million dollars.?
