OOCL Logistics opens New Warehouse in Guangzhou Economic & Technology Development District

OOCL Logistics is pleased to announce the launch of operations of its new 6,330-square meter warehouse at the Guangzhou Economic & Technology Development District (GETDD). The new facility is the first OOCL Logistics owned-and-operated warehouse in Guangzhou. This is the latest addition to OLL's extensive warehouse network, globally and in China; including common warehouses, bonded warehouses and Bonded Logistics Park warehouses.
Located in the eastern section of GETDD and close to the Guang Shen Highway and National Road 107, the new warehouse has strategic-access to the Huangpu terminal, which is a mere eight kilometers away.
With a focus on providing domestic storage and distribution and export consolidation services, this new and modern warehouse is equipped with versatile storage options of 3,100 square-meters of floor storage, combined with a drive-in, single-selective pallet rack system offering 4,800 pallet positions (six tiers high). The latest handling machinery and equipment is used throughout the facility.
“OOCL Logistics goes several steps beyond point-to-point transport,” said Ming Tsang, Director & General Manager of OOCL Logistics (Hong Kong) Ltd. “Though the physical design of our warehouse is relevant to operational efficiency, the warehouse management is crucial and differentiates OOCL Logistics from our competitors,” he said.

“In order to ensure consistent service quality among our warehouses, our company approach is to have our own people operate the warehouse with standardized operation procedures, supported by advanced information systems,” explained Mr Tsang.
