New container services to open for Korea/China trades
Incheon and Pyongtaek Port are opening a new container service to connect with more ports in China.
The Yellow Sea Liners Committee, having members of shipping companies operating container services connecting Korea and China announced that the committee, Yellow Sea Passenger and the Cargo Shipping Committee have decided to open four container routes by deploying 2 vessels to Incheon - Ningbo, 1 vessel to Pyongtaek - Lianyungang and 1 vessel to Pyongtaek - Dafeng after recent discussions.
Domestic shipping companies will invest one vessel each in the Incheon - Ningbo route and Pyongtaek - Dafeng route. Chinese shipping companies will deploy one vessel each to Incheon - Ningbo and Pyongtaek - Lianyungang.
One insider from the Yellow Sea Liners Committee said, ?he operating company and starting time for the services will be selected after further discussion,?and added, ?here are now 8 domestic shipping companies that want to provide services for the route between Incheon and Ningbo and 4 other companies that want to serve in the Pyongtaek and Dafeng route.
