China's entry to WTO fosters Asian logistics markets
"The Asian logistic markets, except Japan, will grow 42% every year and will reach 29 billion dollars in 2005", predicted the International Data Corporation (IDC), a U.S market research agency.
It also said after surveying markets in 12 countries that more and more businesses are in need of logistic support including warehouses. They further stated that multinational enterprises would enjoy the most benefits from this logistic outsourcing rather than domestic businesses.
"Many business groups have met the necessity to set up efficient networks to supply the sales activities and the 'outsourcing' is spreading out," an analyst from the IDC said.
He also added that if the doors to China open many opportunities will present themselves to foreign companies in China, further increasing anticipations for China to enter the WTO this year. China seems to be the fastest growing logistics markets.
Quoted from the IDC, the logistics markets in China are assumed to be 800 million dollars and expected to increase 84% year-on-year until 2005.
