Hanjin Shipping announced that it is launching a Middle East - US West Coast service and Japan - US West Coast service.
Named PSG (Pacific South & Gulf Service), it will be operated by a line of partner carriers, including Hanjin and NYK, in which Hanjin and NYK will deploy a total of 11 x 6,500 TEU class vessels, 4 and 7 each, respectively. The service will start on April 22 from Laem Chabang.
The rotation is Jebel Ali - Damman - Port kelang - Singapore - Laem Chabang - Yantian - L.A. - Oakland - Busan - Shanghai - Ningbo - Yantian - Singapore - Colombo - Jebel Ali.
The carrier will also launch a new Japan - US West Coast direct service, named JPX (Japan & Pacific South Express Service).
JPX will be operated by a line of partner carriers including Hanjin, NYK, OOCL, and Hapag Lloyd in which the carriers will deploy a total of 5 x 3,400 TEU class vessels. and 1 from Hapag Lloyd. The service will start at May 9.
The rotation is Kobe - Tokyo - Sendai - Long Beach - Oakland - Tokyo - Nagoya - Kobe.
