Hanjin Shipping’s on-time performance for its operating vessels was 91% last 4Q 2011.
In Drewry's recent report on 2011 vessel reliability across all the trades covered, the Seoul-based carrier said that Hanjin Shipping took first place among container lines for on-time records for the vessel operator-only rankings.
Following Hanjin, Maersk Line and Coscon held 2nd and 3rd places, recording 90% and 88%. But Hanjin yielded the top position to Maersk Line for on-time reliability for total vessels, which include carrier owned and alliance partner's.
For the sector, Maersk Line saw 87.5%. Coscon and Hanjin are tailgating Maersk, recording 84.6% and 81.4% each.
Drewry measured for the first time the reliability by vessel size and operator. The standard reliability rankings include all services that a carrier offers space on regardless of whether they participate as a vessel operator or via a slot charter agreement. < 김보람 기자 brkim@ksg.co.kr >
