[ Hanjin Shipping Held a Ceremony for Innovation Awards- ]

On July 20, 1999, With over 100 guests in attendance, Hanjin Shipper
’s Vice President of Maritime Affairs, Mr. H. Kwon personally present
ed the Hanin in Innovation Award to 29 winners this year at the Pusan
Trade Center. The top prize recipient, Mr. J.S. Jung of the Vessel Ma
intenance team, was among a host of other innovators that received cas
h prizes and plaques of distinction. Mr. Jung developed a better syst
em to regulate air pressure on all vessels.
This is one of two awards held annually honoring organizational inno
vation.
Launched two years ago, the Hanjin Innovator Award is presented twice
yearly, which recognizes submissions from all levels within the compan
y that can demonstrate a variety of approaches to creating innovative
work methods, efficient work processes or cost-savings.
All departments or operating segments of the company are invited to
apply for this prestigious award.
