STX Pan Ocean included in DJSI

One of South Korea’s largest bulk shippers, STX Pan Ocean, has been named to the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index (DJSI) as the top company in the transportation sector, the company announced October 12.

The Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes were launched in 1999 as the first global sustainability benchmarks. The indexes are offered cooperatively by SAM Indexes and Dow Jones Indexes, the family tracks the stock performance of the world’s leading companies in terms of economic, environmental and social criteria.

STX Pan Ocean was praised for their three-feature business policies, ethical innovation, and technology management. In addition, not only STX Pan Ocean, but also STX Offshore & Shipbuilding, STX Engine were also selected.
