DSME’s technology shows in the defense exhibition

Daewoo Shipping & Marine Engineering (DSME) participated in DSEi 2011 (Defense System & Equipment International 2011) in London from September 13th to 16th. DSEi is the world’s second largest defense industry exhibition.

More than 1,200 defense industry enterprises participated in DSEi 2011 and the exhibition consisted of high technology equipment and diverse defense systems. DSME prepared a total of eight scale models of naval ships, destroyers, marine police vessels, and submarines which had interior lights added and propeller equipment running.

DMSE participated in this exhibition for the first time and was the only participant from the Asian region (Korea, China, Japan), so DSME technology was observed with deep interest by defense industry authorities. The display booth also housed other participants, so in order to differentiate their booth, the DSME exhibition used a wooden frame to promote a strong image and arranged an independent booth for their submarine technology section. <Korea Shipping Gazette>
