[ Tacoma Will Expand Evergeen Line Terminal ]

Evergreen Line and the Port of Tacoma have agreed to nearly double the
size of the terminal area that Evergreen currently from the Port.
Evergreen currently leases a 40-acre terminal site on the Blair Waterw
ay. Under the terms of the revised lease, the terminal and storage are
a will expand to about 75 acres, and a new gatehouse will be built to
service the expanded terminal, The agreement also extends the lease to
the year 2016.

nt example of how our Port is focused on meeting the growth needs of o
ur existing customers.”
Evergreen’s move to Tacoma in 1991 helped boost the Port’s container
volumes over the million mark for the first time in history. The Port
has consistently handled over a million containers a year since Everg
reen moved to Tacoma.
