Dongjin Shipping accepts delivery of 1st containership

Dongjin Shipping announced that it is accepting delivery of its first containership since its founding.
The new containership, which was constructed by Daesun shipbuilding & Engineering, has a 1,000 TEU capacity and costs KRW 22,700 million.

The ship will be christened in ‘Dongjin Venus’ in Daesun shibuilding Busan yard on September 27th. The vessel will be deployed in the Korea-China-Japan pendulum line, while replaced the ‘Da xin’. It will launch for the first time on September 30th.

The Korean liner will reform the service while also calling at Hibikinada. The new port rotation for this service is: Busan - Ningbo - Shanghai - Hakada - Hibikinada - Busan.
