Maersk's new Intra-European carrier starts operating
Maersk Line and Safmarine have launched a new intra-Europe line service.
The new operator Seago Line, established by Maersk Group, will focus on the short hauls in the intra-Europe trade. Seago Line will be 100% owned by A.P. Moller-Maersk and will have its headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark. The company's staff is 250 employees.
"We want be more flexible to the specific needs of our customers in this market segment," Seago Line's CEO Jakob Bomholt said.<Korea Shipping Gazette>
