Rapid growth of Foreign freight at Busan New Port

Busan New Port has seen its handling of foreign freight rapidly increase this year compared to last year.

According to Busan Main Customs, as of June 16 the foreign freight cleared at Busan New Port stood at 174,490 bills of loading, about 2 million and 824 thousand tonnes in weight. The number of bills is 3 times more than that of last year and 83% more in weight. Busan New Port has 18 container berths and 13 logistics companies are handling cargoes at its hinterland complex.
