CCNI launches new Korea - South America trade
A new ICS service of CCNI started operating from April 2010, as part of its growth strategy to boost the presence of CCNI in Asia, South Africa and the East Coast of South America.
It will call at ports in Korea, Central and Southern China, Singapore, South Africa, Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina.
ICS is designed to carry full container cargo and consists of a fleet of eleven vessels with capacity for 4,300 TEU and 330 connections for reefer cargo.
With a weekly frequency, it will transport cargo to and from the ports of Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Yantian, Hong Kong, Singapore, Durban, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio Grande and Itajai.
ICS will work together with Agunsa Argentina, Agunsa Uruguay and Agunsa Brazil to provide greater coverage and an efficient operation. The agencies will be available to perform all necessary formalities, delivering a local and professional agency service to respond to the specific requirements and interests of each customer.
The first vessel calling Bussan is MV. HANJIN RIO DE JANEIRO V. 1 on April 12, 2010 and arriving in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on May 14, 2010.<Korea Shipping Gazette>
