[ Evergreen launched service to Jordan ]

Evergreen has added the port of Aqaba to its global service network from
1 October, the container operator will link North America, the Far
East, the Indian Sub-continent and Mediterranean Europe with Jordan.
Ammon Shipping and Transport L.L.,(AST), which has offices in Ammon and
Aquaba, has been appointed as the local agent.
The New service will use a weekly common feeder which operates between
the Jordanian port of Aqaba and the Saudi port of Jeddah. Jeddah is a
call on the eastbound and westbound schedule of Evergreen’s Medway-
Pacway service which links the pacific north-west(Tacoma and Vancouver)
, all major far east ports, the Indian Sub-continent(over Colombo) and
principal Mediterranean ports. Sailings are weekly.
