BPA, obtaining VE certification for the first time in Korea

Busan Port Authority (BPA) announced on June 30 that it obtained a VE certification in the industry-wide evaluation conducted under the supervision of the Society of Korea Value Engineers and the Society of America Value Engineers on June 29.

They recognized BPA? VE innovation achievement in the port construction sector. BPA introduced the VE system for the first time last year and has nurtured 12 VE specialists through education. The system was applied to 9 construction projects including Nakhodka Container Terminal construction in Russia and saved 129.4 billion won.

BPA, beyond its own business boundary, is helping the Ulsan Port Authority and Masan Regional Maritime Affairs and Port Office to do their construction projects with its accumulated VE capability.
A BPA official said that they would continuously apply VE to Busan Port? facility construction to boost its port value and save construction costs.
