Rotterdam looks into partnership with Brazilian port
The Port of Rotterdam Authority has signed an agreement with the port of Suape near Recife in the northeast of Brazil.
During the next 18 months, the Port Authority will be involved in drafting a masterplan for the coming twenty years. At the same time, discussions are under way on what form a partnership between the Port Authority and the port of Suape near Recife could take.
The initiative is in line with Port Authority policy on the further internationalisation of operations. The Port Authority is already involved in the development of the port of Sohar(Oman) and last month announced that it would be taking a serious look at Borneo(Malaysia).
