Maersk Line Wins Cargonews Asia’s Awards and Lloyds Loading List’s A
ward

Again this year, Maersk swept all the prices at Cargonews Asia’s(orga
nizer of Asian Freight Industry Award)awards. The categories of the pr
ices were Best Global Shipping Line, Best Transpacific, Best Europe, B
est Asia-Middle East and Best Intra-Asia.
Maersk has been awarded the ‘1997 Shipping Line of The Year’ by the
readers of Lloyds Loading List.
In addition to this award, Maersk also received an award for the ‘Bes
t Customer Service in the Far East Trade’.
The above two awards were based on questionarie responses by customers
and supplements the Liner Analysis Awards, which are published regula
rly in Lloyds Loading List. During 1997 Maersk secured the prices for
schedule reliability in the trades to South Asia, West Coast of South
America, Venezuela & Colombia, Arabian Peninsular, West Africa and the
awards for the fastest transit times in the trades to South Asia, Wes
t Africa, US Pacific.
