The Hanjin Shipping Co. terminal has won another architectural design
award for its entry gate complex

The Hanjin Shipping Co. terminal has won another architectural design
award for its entry gate complex. The entry complex consists of the en
try guard building, truck queue canopies and drivers’ services buildi
ng. The complex received an Urban Beautification Award from the Los An
geles Business Council. the group annually recognizes outstanding proj
ects that contribute to the beautification of the Los Angeles area.
Last year, the Long Beach/South Bay Chapter of the American Institute
of Architects(AIA) gave its Merit Award to architect Rpbert Stewart an
d Caldwell Architects for designing the gate complex. The team also wo
n an Honor Award, the AIA’s top award, in the commercial use category
for the design of the terminal’s administration building.
