[ YML & CMA Decided to Terminate the MEX Agreement ]

CMA and YML have decided to put an end to their joint service cooperat
ion, known as MEX, covering the trade between Asia and Mediterranean f
or the last five years.
According to the YML’s Korea Agent, the last joint sailing will be fr
om Taiwan Westbound Med Taichung voyage 244W on August 28th in Kaoshiu
ng and from the Mediterranean Eastbound Med Taichung voyage 244E on Se
ptember 26th in Barcelona.
CMA and YML will continue serving the trade independently, offering th
eir customers a quality service, YML will maintain its slots capacity
and weekly service in Asia-Mediterranean trade by cooperating with The
World Alliance(APL, HMM, MOL) who launched their own Asia-Mediterrane
an service in February 1998. YML reaffirmed that the commitment of pro
viding reliable and quality service never changes.
