Maritime Meeting between Korean and Russia to be Held Next Year in Seoul
Korean government has proposed to Russia that they have their mutual mari-
time meeting within the coming March next year.
According to Korea Maritime and Port Administration(KMPA), they have recen-
tly delivered these proposals to Russia through the diplomatic channel.
KMPA has decided to hold the meeting where they hope both sides will ex-
change their opinions on signing the mutual maritime agreement and on
opening the new service routes and on other various outstanding matters.
It has been so far rumoured that the meeting would be put off because
the Korean government has been tied up to some other domestic and over-
seas problems such as the next maritime meeting between Korean and EU
and the meeting with the high-level staff members from OECD and the
on-going restructuring of the Korean maritime laws.
