The best terminals in the first half of 2007

Busan Port Authority conducted productivity survey on terminals in the first half of the year and Gamman Korea Express, Shinsundae Container Terminal and Dongbu Express Container Terminal were chosen as the best terminal in each field. According to the productivity survey done by logistics experts, Gamman Korea Express was chosen as the best in total berth productivity per hour and Shinsundae Container Terminal as the best in the increase rate of container handling volume.

And Dongbu Express Container Terminal was chosen as the best in the appropriateness of efforts to boost productivity. Gamman Korea Express handled 270,000 containers at a berth in the first half of the year and Shinsundae Container Terminal showed 18.5% increase of container volume compared with that of the same period of last year. And Dongbu Express Container Terminal implemented a specialization of container yard to save time and various measures to boost productivity by field innovation team. BPA decided to grant awards for the best terminals and to provide an opportunity to take inspection tour to foreign ports for relevant staff.
