Premium cruise vessel, calling at Busan Port
Rhapsody of the Seas, 78,000 tons of luxury cruise vessel operated by one of the world? premium cruise lines, the U.S Royal Caribbean Internatio nal (RCI), will call at Int ernational Cruise Ter minal of Busan Port in Korea regularly from April, 2008.
Busan Port Authority (BPA) said that the cruise line will make a regular call at Busan Port six times a year, which is expected to bring local economic vitalization in.
RCI headquartered in Florida will operate ? Night Asian Legacies Cruise?with ports of call - Shanghai in China, Fukuoka in Japan, Busan and Jeju in the Republic of Korea, Shanghai in China and ? Night Pearls Of The Orient Cruise?- Shanghai in China, Kobe and Fukuoka in Japan, Busan and Jeju in the Republic of Korea and Shanghai in China.
Rhapsody of the Seas, one of the 21 cruises vessels operated by RCI has passenger capacity of 2,435 with the length of 279m. With dramatic walls of glass and retractable canopy, the luxury cruise ship also boasts of rock-climbing wall, outdoor pool, six whirlpools, Themed bars, etc.
With the regular call of Rhapsody to Busan Port, BPA expects, other world-class cruise lines may see Busan Port as their cruise destination. Therefore, BPA will make more aggressive efforts to attract other cruise ships to Busan Port.<Korea Shipping Gazette>
