BAX Global India Wins Country’s Top Quality Golden Peacock’ Award
BAX Global India has won the country’s prestigious “Golden Peacock”
National Quality Award in the service sector.
The National Quality awards are given annually by the country’s Insti
tute of Directors, a non-profit body designed to promote the practice
continuous quality improvement.
BAX Global India won the award based on nine specific areas of quality
achievement through the year. The award criteria are similar to the M
alcolm Baldridge Quality Awards in the United States.
“We are extremely honored to win our country’s top quality award,”
said Ashok Jaidka, Vice President, BAX Global South Asia.
“This award comes as a pioneering destinction for us.” said V.J. Mat
hews, Director, Quality, BAX Global India, “and is the result of sust
ained teamwork at all our locations in India. BAX Global has nine offi
ces in India.
“Together, we’ve created quality standards that are state-of-the-art
for our industry and reflects the strategy being pursued by our offic
es worldwide. It’s very gratifying to be recognized for this kind of
hard work and dedication by our team,” Mathews added.
Apporximately 175 entries are judged by the institute each year with t
he best entries selected by an independent panel of judges from indust
ry and Government within India.
The criteria used for assessment includes: leadership; quality plannin
g; human resources; benchmarking; quality assurance; suppliers quality
progress; customer satisfaction; impact on society; and business resu
lts.
The award was presented to BAX Global India at The World Quality Congr
ess held recently.
