[ Reduction of Port Service Charges in Kwangyang Port ]

Yosu District Maritime and Port Administration proposed some reduction
in the current various port charges to be levied to import/export con-
tainer cargoes and ships which are to enter Sapo quay in the port of
Kwangyang.
In order to tackle this proposal, KMPA, the headquarter of Korean mari
time policy, is known to carry out their overall examination of various
ways which can promote container cargo distribution through more act
ivation of Kwangyang port and balanced development between ports.
Up to now, the port of Masan and Ulsan have already made some reductions
in the applicable port charges.
