[ HMM Follows NYK with Thai Service Upgrade ]
Hyundai Merchant Marine Co.(HMM), which provides container operations
between Japan Thailand by leasing space from NYK, recently announced a
new service schedule for the trade, which Hyundai will implement in l
ine with NYK’s planned restructuring of its service to Thailand.
Now providing container cargo lifting operations in the Japan/Thailand
trade in three separate loops-the Clipper, Phoenix and Dragon service
s-NYK will restructure the three-loop service set-up into two loops fr
om next month.
The new service set-up will be as follow: Clipper service; To be provi
ded with two vessels of 1,048 TEUs and one of 1,228 TEUs on a weekly,
fixed-day basis with a turnaround time of 21 days. The port rotation w
ill be Tokyo(Wed._, Nagoya(Thu.), Shimizu(Fri.), Yokohama(Fri./Sat.),
Laem Chabang(Sat.), Bangkok(Sat./Mon.), Laem Chabang(Mon./Tue.), and T
okyo(Wed.).
This new schedule will start with the ACX Cosmos(Voyage No. 51S), due
to sail from Tokyo on December 24.
Phoenix Service; To be provided with three new 1,141TEU vessels on a w
eekly, fixed-day basis with a turnaround time of 21 days. The port rat
ation will be Osaka(Wed.), Kobe(Wed./Thu.), Hakata(Fri.), Pusan(Sat.),
Ho Chi Minh City(Thu./Fri.), Laem Chabang(Sun.), Bangkok(Sun./Tue.),
Laem Chanbang(Tue.), Manila(Sat.) and Osaka(Wed.).
The first ship to start the newly-scheduled service will be the Sumire
(voyage No.04S), due to sail from Osaka on December 24.
