[ 3rd Asia Pacific Transport & Logistics Congress 1997 ]
Will Held on 11-13 November This Year In Singapore
Two renowned logistics experts from the USA have joined our impressive
line-up of speakers for the 3RD Asia Pacific Transport & Logistics C
ongress 1997 to be held from 11-13 November at the Mandarin Hotel in S
ingapore.
The first addition to the lineup of speakers is Mr. Bill Paulk, Vice P
resident, Industry Solutions, IBM Global Travel and Transportation Ind
ustry. Mr. Paulk will be introducing IBM’s new total shipment managem
ent solution “TransConnect” to the Congress.
The second addition is Mr Dennis Custage, Senior Vice President, Ryder
Intergrated Logistics, Inc. and General Manager of Ryder System, Inc.
’s International Division. Mr Custage will speak on integrated logist
ics and the logistics alliance that Ryder has formed with IBM. Both sp
eakers will be appearing on 13 November, Day 3 of the programme which
focuses on intergrated logistics in the industry.
This biennial event, the third organised by the Chartered Institute of
Transport (CIT). Singapore will be opened by the Minister of State fo
r Communications, Dr John Chen.
Over 30 leading experts from all aspects of the supply chain will also
congregate in Singapore to discuss the issues surrounding transportat
ion and logistics through the year 2000 and beyond. They come from pr
ominent international organisations such as Airbus, AT&T, Boeing, DHL,
Federal Express, Hutchison Delta Ports, IBM, Maersk, Port of Singapor
e Authority, Sealand, TNT Express and United Parcel Service, Details c
