[ Shipbuilding orders in late July decreased ]

It is known that domestic shipbuilders have secured newbuilding orders
, about 76 ships of 2,334,500 G/T as of the end of July.This figure re-
flects the serious impact due to recent dumping sales of Japanese ship-
builders.
In the meantime, the newbuilding deliveries which are different from the
newbuilding orders,have shown an increase of 18 ships, including three
newbuildings during this July and thereby have amounted to 57 ships
of 2,286,676 G/T as of the end of July.
Therefore,the remaining orders amounted to total 225 ships of 11,284,2
39G/T including 215 export vessels and 10 domestic ships as compared to
197 ships of 9,879,000 G/T in the same period of last year.
