Maersk, Sealand and P&O Nedlloyd Announce the Introduction of a New Di
rect Service Between North Europe and Canada
Sea-Land, Maersk and P&O Nedlloyd are proud to announce their intent t
o introduce a new direct service linking port in North Europe with Mon
treal, Canada.
Starting Septenber 1997, there ice-class vessels of approximately 1000
TEUs will provide weekly direct calls at Rotterdam, Bremerhaven, Felix
stowe and Montreal. The new service will supplement the carriers exist
ing service to Halifax, Nova Scotia, and will provide shippers in the
trade with a high quality and reliable product. The parties intend to
finalise all elements of the new service in the near future.
