Hanjin Shipping President elected as World Shipping Council Director
Hanjin Shipping announced on September 15 that President Park Jeong Won was elected as a director for a 2-year term at the World Shipping Council.
WSC is a famous council of world shipping liners with ELAA (The European Liner Affairs Association). They have many members like Maersk Sealand in Denmark, MSC in Switzerland, Evergreen in Taiwan, Hanjin Shipping and many other major shipping companies.
They discuss marine security, laws, taxes, the shipping environment, port issues, other related topics, and the various problems that confront the global shipping business. They also look find remedies for those problems.
An insider from Hanjin Shipping said, "Because the WSC is a representative council for global shipping companies, the director election of President Park is important both at home and in international affairs."
