KMTC ULSAN selected as Green Ship
The Korea Maritime Transportation Co., Ltd. (KMTC) announced its vessel 'KMTC ULSAN' was selected as a 'Green Ship' and won a medal at Pusan Port on June 15.
Since 1997, the Korea Coast Guard has selected an environmentally friendly model ship that worked to prevent maritime contamination. Vessels selected as a Green Ship undergo reexamination after four years.
The Green Ship system is for the prevention of maritime contamination.
Among the 17 ships that KMTC owns, 15 ships have been selected as Green Ships, giving KMTC the highest Green Ship certification rate amongst domestic shipping companies.
